Indian Youth Congress stands in solidarity with AMU student Yasir Fahad, whose hunger strike has entered its 13th day, demanding the restoration of the Aligarh Muslim University Students’ Union and fresh elections.

AMU students have been without an elected Students’ Union since the 2018–19 academic session. Nearly eight years without an elected body representing their voice.

The demand for democratic representation and a legitimate student voice must be heard.
