Driverless Metro-train not suited in India

It refers to accident of a driverless metro-train in Delhi on 18.12.2017 during the trial run, where regular service on the new route is to be inaugurated by Prime Minister on 25.12.2017. This is second such accident during trial run of driverless metro-train. Fortunately there were no human casualties in both these accidents otherwise causing substantial loss to metro-property and coaches.Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for time being should drop idea of running driver-less metro-trains. System can never be fully automatic, and preliminary enquiry reveals that there was a human-error involved in accident occurred on 18.12.2017, which luckily saved from being fatal with a very narrow margin. Driverless trains cannot even be cost-effective due to increased cost of metro-coaches and infrastructure. Abandoning idea of driverless metro-trains will also generate employment-opportunities for at least some youngsters.
