प्रधानमंत्री, श्री नरेंद्र मोदी, और कोरिया गणराज्य के राष्ट्रपति श्री मून जेए ने नोएडा में आज संयुक्त रूप से सैमसंग इंडिया इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स प्राइवेट लिमिटेड के एक बड़े मोबाइल विनिर्माण सुविधा का उद्घाटन किया । इस अवसर पर बोलते हुए प्रधानमंत्री ने इस अवसर को एक विशेष के रूप में, भारत को वैश्विक विनिर्माण हब बनाने के रूप में भी बताया । उन्होंने कहा कि लगभग ५००० करोड़ रुपये के निवेश से भारत के साथ सैमसंग का कारोबारी संबंध न केवल मजबूत होगा, बल्कि भारत और कोरिया के बीच संबंधों के संदर्भ में भी अहम है ।

प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि डिजिटल तकनीक आम आदमी के जीवन को सरल बनाने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा रही है, जिसमें तेजी से और अधिक पारदर्शी सेवा वितरण के माध्यम से भी शामिल है । उन्होंने स्मार्टफोन, ब्रॉडबैंड और डाटा कनेक्टिविटी के विस्तार की बात कही, जिसे उन्होंने भारत में डिजिटल क्रांति के संकेत के रूप में बताया । इस संदर्भ में उन्होंने सरकार के ई-मार्केटप्लेस (मनी), डिजिटल ट्रांजेक्शन, भीम ऐप, और रुपे कार्ड के विकास की भी बात कही ।

प्रधान मंत्री ने नोट किया कि मोबाइल फोन के निर्माण में भारत अब वैश्विक स्तर पर दूसरे स्थान पर है, लगभग चार साल के समय में, मोबाइल फोन निर्माण कारखानों की संख्या लगभग 2 साल से 120 तक बढ़ रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि इसने लाखों रोजगार के अवसर पैदा किए हैं।
